Quick Mount rolled out three new products in May at ASES 2011 in Raleigh, NC, and the reception was very exciting. Now the fun begins: shipping orders of our new Low Slope Mount, New Roof Composition Mount, and Universal Tile Mount!
The new products augment Quick Mount's existing lineup of solar mounts for the residential retrofit market, where our Classic Composition Mount has established itself as the recognized industry standard in waterproof solar mounts for pitched roofs.
At the core of the Low Slope Mount is the cast aluminum, corrosion resistant QBase, whose inch-deep, reinforced flange is engineered to take a 12-inch standoff with an average 376 lbs. of shear.
QBase attaches securely to the roofing substrate or structure with either two or four fasteners per mount, depending on the material.
The QBase is paired with a 1.25-inch diameter extruded aluminum post with a machine-threaded, vertically ribbed core for added lateral strength. Available post lengths offer 3¾-inch, 7-inch, 9-inch and 12-inch clearance above the deck. They bolt to the QBase with a ¾-inch-long hardened steel fastener, so they twist easily into place – or out – when needed.
The tops of the posts are capped and waterproofed by an EPDM-coated stainless steel sealing washer. As always with Quick Mount products, all hardware is included, all exposed hardware is stainless steel, and all seals are EPDM rubber.

The kits, complete with QBase, post, flashings, and all necessary hardware, are shipped 12 to a box. Patents are pending.
