Some of the cities here in the SF Bay Area will soon be providing residents a choice of Energy Suppliers through “Community Choice Energy”. Current PG&E customers will continue to receive their power from PG&E, but they will have the option of buying the electricity from CCE or PG&E. I wonder how that will impact Net Metering and Payback?

      Hi Marc,

Good question! Certainly the simple payback calculation would be affected by your energy supplier choice, however the Net Metering agreement would continue to be administered by the utility the Interconnection was made with. Hope this answers your question!

I look forward to the next episode of this podcast. The first episode had no waste 🙂 Thank you!
